We are excited to announce the 2024 WV Principals Conference is officially announced for December 8-10! The conference is a few days later this year as the Thanksgiving Break is very late in November. We look forward to seeing everyone in December, it’s one of the best educational events of the year! 2024 West Virginia Leaders of Education Conference Information
The conference is open to all school administrators, central office personnel, superintendents, WV Department of Education officials, aspiring administrators, and anyone interested in preserving and supporting public education.
In recent years,, we had over 130 attendees and vendors from all parts of the State and several county superintendents in attendance! Our conference is co-sponsored by the West Virginia Association of Elementary/Middle School Principals and the WV Association of Secondary School Principals.
Past conference speakers have included educational experts Ruby Payne and Todd Whittaker, Astronaut Leland Melvin, Governor Jim Justice, Huntington Fire Chief Jan Rader, WVANG General James Hoyer, West Virginia University personality Tony Caridi, WV State Superintendent Clayton Burch and WVBOE Board members. We will also have national representatives from the NAESP and NASSP in attendance!
Rooms: Traditional rooms starting at $225 plus resort fee, taxes and Historic Preservation Fund (HPF). Parking is free unless you choose Valet parking which is $30. The resort fee includes the following resort amenities: The Casino Club with entertainment each evening, free morning coffee, afternoon tea, hotel tours, indoor pool, fitness center, free movies each night, free wireless internet. There will be a Welcome Reception Sunday Evening in the Greenbrier Bunker after our kick-off speaker, and a banquet on Monday evening. Guests and vendors at the banquet will have an additional fee. fee.
